Yes, that's Ethan Embry in The Devil's Candy -- a 2015 British horror/serial killer film just now getting distribution in the U.S. Embry plays a 30-something dad who is into grunge music, heavy-metal spray-paint art, and tattoos. His wife looks like a buxom groupie, and their 15-year-old daughter is a purple-haired goth who thinks everything is lame and likes death-metal.
Enter the serial killer.
Embry previously played sweet-faced geeky kids with goofy looks in movies like Empire Records (1995), Vegas Vacation (1997), Can't Hardly Wait (1998), and Sweet Home Alabama (2002). He also starred in the short-lived X-Files knock-off, Freaky Links. Created by the folks behind The Blair Witch Project, the showrunners created a faux website with articles about various cryptoids, ghosts, zombies, ghouls, and whatnot to generate buzz for the show
Embry's had a ripping hot body his entire life, as he was a gymnast in high school. He usually covers it up under baggy t-shirts and layers of clothes, and his goofy-geeky roles never allow him to get naked enough (or sexual enough) to show it off.
Now he's showing it off.
