Did You Know ... that the Greenway neighborhood in Washington, D.C., consists of four major sections: Anacostia Park (created from dredged material by the United States Army Corps of Engineers between 1898 and 1919), the failed 1871 East Washington Heights luxury home development project (now part of the Randle Highlands neighborhood), the successful 1903 North Randle Highlands middle-class housing project, and a massive 1940 low-income apartment housing project for defense workers (from which the neighborhood draws its name)?
