An editorial in the New York Times this weekend advocated for a national memorial to all those enslaved during American history.

In about six months, we're going to have the National Museum of African American History and Culture in Washington, D.C., which will go a long way to helping Americans understand the origins of North American slavery, its effect on slave and slave-owner, and the unhealed wound slavery left on the nation.

Frankly, I'd rather have a museum than a monument that can't tell the full story.
