Gotta love the Keystone Kops over in the Cleveland Police Department.
Thursday, they announced that they had a "credible" threat to "take down" police officers by young men riding dirt bikes. Someone at the Harvard Wine & Grille on Harvard Road phoned in this tip, and said that dirt-bikers would create a scene there, lure the cops to the restaurant, and then race off -- the police in hot pursuit. They'd then ambush the cops some place else.
Cleveland Police have a no-chase policy for dirt bikes and ATV vehicles.
Nevertheless, the clown who heads up the Cleveland Police Patrolmens' Association, Steve Loomis, claimed "It's open season on police" these days (despite police shootings being at their lowest level in 40 years).
