So, according to BusinessWeek, Jeff Bezos is going to cull stories from the Washington Post and put them out there daily on Kindle Fires. Just what does he think he'll get from this? People interested in buying the Post online pretty already do so. Amazon.com is going to hear howls of protest from other publications (like USA Today) which have to pay to get their stuff in proper format for Kindle Fire.
And it's not entirely clear that Amazon.com will pay the Post for this material.
So, just how is this going to make money?
True, the Post's digital division has long struggled to be relevant. Perhaps this will force them to learn some 21st century coding...
