The glowing blue beaches of Vaadhoo Atoll, Maldives.
Vaadhoo is a coral atoll in the Maldives, a range of low-lying islands in the Indian Ocean off the southeast corner of India.
Nearly every beach in the world shows bioluminescence at night. This just happens to be a spectacular shot of a beach where light pollution is not a problem. The light is generated by phytoplankton (sea algae) known as dinoflagellates.
