The Adventures of Felix (Drôle de Félix) is a 2000 French film by Olivier Ducastel.
Sami Bouajila plays Felix -- a French-Arab gay man with HIV. After his mother dies, Felix learns that his father is alive and living in Marseilles. Félix hitchhikes to see him, having various adventures along the way. The film is notable for portraying the life of a person with HIV -- the insistent time-table of drug-taking, the need for immense quantities of water, the problems that blood and sex present, etc. -- in the early 2000s.
And through it all, Felix maintains his positive outlook on life.
